Elaine enjoys continuing education on every day patient care. She strives to attend conferences and surround herself with new advances in treatment and technology in patient care to achieve the best outcomes for patients. When she is not studying, she enjoys frequenting the beaches in southern California and Oahu, Hawaii. She looks forward to spending time with her son and winter time travels to Colorado to see her family
Biography
Elaine was born in Houston, TX and grew up in The Woodlands, TX. She is a graduate of The University of Texas Health and Science Center- Houston School of Nursing. Before her BSN, She studied psychology with an emphasis on the biology that influences people’s behavior. She obtained a BS in Psychology with a minor in Biology at Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas. She went on to get her Masters in Nursing at the University of Texas-Arlington School of Nursing and is a Board Certified by the AANP as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She also is a Certified Nurse in the Operating Room and has completed her Registered Nurse First Assistant with the AORN accredited program National Institute First Assistant. During her studies she was privileged enough to learn from and work with many brilliant physicians and mid-level providers in the Texas Medical Center and surrounding communities. Elaine has spent time specializing in Wound Care, Women’s Health, Pediatrics, Allergy ENT, Plastics, Trauma, Transplant, Immunology, Orthopedics, Urology, Neurology, Dermatology, Family Practice, and Cardiology/Vascular. She is currently licensed as a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner in Texas, Colorado, New Mexico, Idaho, Montana, and Iowa. She continues to pursue advances in her education.
